North Valley Design + Construction is looking to add one solid carpenter or experienced apprentice to our team for an immediate start.
This role is not for beginners, and it’s not for people just looking to “get hours.” We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, thinks ahead, and understands that quality matters at every stage of a build.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in residential and/or commercial construction
- Comfortable working across all scopes of work, from foundation through finishing
- A finishing mindset, even when the work isn’t finish carpentry
- Someone who shows up focused, works hard, and takes responsibility for their work
- A team player who can communicate well and keep things professional on site
What we’re not looking for
- High drama
- Constant hand-holding
- People just looking for a paycheck or a short stop

Temporary Construction Labourer – Immediate Start
North Valley Design + Construction (Smithers, BC)
North Valley Design + Construction is looking to add one temporary construction labourer to our team for an immediate start.
This role is a good fit for someone who wants hands-on experience on real job sites, enjoys working with their hands, and wants to be part of a crew that takes pride in doing things properly. You don’t need to know everything already — we’re more interested in your attitude, effort, and willingness to learn.
What we’re looking for
- An interest in construction or hands-on work
- A reliable work ethic and a positive attitude
- Someone who shows up on time, stays engaged, and puts in a solid day’s work
- Willingness to take instruction, ask questions, and learn from the crew
- Respect for the jobsite, tools, safety, and the people you’re working with
What we’re not looking for
- Unsafe or careless behaviour on site
- Ongoing negativity or drama
- People who aren’t interested in putting in the effort or improving their work
